mp3 questions

Hi

I was going to buy an mp3 player but could do with a new phone so I thought I'd look at an mp3 capable phone. The mp3 playback is really important so I'd be grateful if someone could answer my questions:

1) Does it playback in stereo via plug in earphones. I have heard some of the Nokia phones will only play in mono

2) Can it play variable bitrate mp3s ok?

3) All my albums have a folder and a corresponding m3u playlist file. Could I just copy the folders across to the MMC and the phone will recognise the m3u file, or is there a certain way you have to copy the files to the MMC and create a playlist from the phone in order to play an album?

Any other phone suggestions for mp3 playback would be good 🙂

Thanks
Guy

Yes the mp3's are played in stereo.

I do not think the bitrate matters, so yes(I think).

Check here for playlist questions. It gives me a headache trying to do it or explain it.

I would look for a pop port adapter since I do not like the way the included headset fits my ears.

I don't know if this adapter is just for the phone earbud and mic -- looks like it, but maybe there's a similar one for stereo headsets:

(This gadget would have saved me from buying a replacement wired headset with the popport -- I have three or four of the little earbud/mic wires that were perfectly good, but the sales person didn't know such an adapter existed.
