Release date?
I hate to ask the infamous question again, but does anyone have any clue whatsoever as to when this phone will be available? I have been in a nokia 1100 for months now just waiting for this phone. Thanks in advance on any input 😁

I don't have an exact date but have been told that "it will definately be out in the next 1 to 3 weeks." I hope this helps. I'm still holding out for this phone, too.

Thanks so much for the info. Im extremely excited that it is coming out this month. Sad that push to talk is coming out for Cingular at the turn of the year (rumored), because i will in-turn want a PTT phone.

PTT and push to talk are the same thing. Push to talk is like the walkie-talkie feature that Nextel, Verizon, and Sprint have. Yes PTT is suppose to launch the first of the year, nation wide for CIngular. It is in the process of heavy testing. In case you did not know already the 6230 will NOT be PTT.

So is it worth it to have this feature? I think that it is really rude to both the person that you are talking to and all the people around you what do you think? And do you know if this phone will have a speaker on it?

yes, this phone will have a speaker on it for speakerphone and mp3/fm radio playback. 🙂
