why discontinued?
first of all, im new here and you guys have been very helpful - decided to get this phone based on your reviews and i'm very happy with it! also, i'd been wondering how to get that stupid banner off - thanks! i was just wondering, does anyone know why the phone has been discontinued? last time that happened to a phone i bought the phone turned out to be horrible - i'm just hoping this phone doesn't start developing bugs in a few months. any hear anything?

Due a "search" in this Forum, you will find alot of thoughts and postings as to why it was discontinued.
You can also search for the postings on the procedures to remove the banner. But be advised that many owners have tried to change the banner and it messed up other things on the phone which they could not fix back. Some has worked though.
Verizon will not replace your phone if you do something unauthorized to the software.

ahhh. thanks for responding. i already followed the instructions to take the banner off. hopefully it didn't do any damage. i guess i'll find out!
