Quick question. Just wanted to know why should I get the audiovox 9900 and not the Moto 710?

I don't own one, but I hear there are a lot of bugs to be worked out. Not to mention that VZW had a lot of the options locked down.
Not sure if you will get the link below, but from what I read there are issues with BT also.
To answer your question. I do not care for any of the current phones that VZW has to offer that are tri-mode. This is a must for my traveling.

I don't need any more convincing. I believe this, and Bluetooth has some serious homework in front of it. The computer viruses are bad enough.

in two words... toshiba quality. i am absolutely enamored with the quality level of toshiba products, including my audiovox 9500. this has all the features most folks will want (sans bluetooth) as well.

after intently following the 710 for a while now, i've decided to wait for mid-September... I have a feeling I'll end up going with the 9900 or LG vx-8000 if both of those release as their rumored schedules indicate.

i think the 710 is a good phone, but i'm not in need of every feature on it -- especially bluetooth -- and therefore i really don't want to pay the premium VZW is asking for it.

Wait to see it relased first. These kind of conversations in this forum have been going on since March 2004. People have been waiting for this da*n thing that long.

Another reason I just thought of. The cdm9900 has 380 hours of standby time. The v710 has 150 hours. Either one is far better than the 55 hours of standby my current audiovox-9155 has. I am sure that it would be hard to get 380 hours in everyday use but even half of that would be great.
