Let's look at the LG-7000 as a option to the CDM-9900?

Maybe the LG-7000 is the closest thing we can hope to attain over this canceled phone. It has the Video Features the CDM-9900 was reported to have. 🙄 ... Just a thought?

7000 does not have a speaker and it is not tri-mode. It's not going to cut it for me. I'm going to wait for the 710.

Umm, the VX7000 will have a VX7000a which will be trimode, and it is coming out in early August. I do not know when the V710 is going to be out because its not on the website. All I can tell you, is that the VX7000 is the next phone, it is on the website if you plug in 99999 as a zipcode. So, if you must get a new phone soon, and do not feel like waiting however long it takes to get the V710, the VX7000 is a quality choice.

Just a little insight for you all.

If its speculation, why is my LG rep telling me to wait on the VX7000? He knows that the VX7000a is coming out. He will not flat out say it, but he told me to wait. It does not matter to me though, because I am going with the V710 whenever it gets out because I am not up for trade in until October. So I will have all the phones to choose from, and I may just wait for the VX8000 around Christmas time. Yes, thats right, Christmas time is the scheduled arrival for the VX8000. He told me so as well, but we all know that if that is the scheduled time, it will not be out until next April. But anyways, the VX7000 is not speculation, it is a reality. Unless my source is pulling my arm, which he usually does not, then it should be out by the e...

Where have you been? The VX7000 has been out for a couple of days in the Verizon stores! In fact, many have a special sale on it with a $70 rebate. Final price is $179. The price is not the same in all stores so if you want one, check around.

The Motorola 710 is due out later this month. No pricing yet on that one though.

For all you people who did not beleive me on the VX7000a, go to the VX7000 info list. Read the modes. It is now up there. The VX7000a will have a AMPS varient. No more all digital. For all you people who think I dont know what I am talking about, or have no credit to reps, this is your proof. The VX7000a was never speculation. Now, if you still feel as if you need more proof call up LG or VZW. They will tell you.

Are you talking about the phonescoop info list for the 7000a? That AMPS variant info has been there forever. Hope its on the VZW webpage info for your zipcode cuz it's not on mine. I really hope you're right about the 7000a coming out.

Just wait and see. When it comes out, just remember, I am the one who told you it would. Besides that, the varient allows you to get the service you need when in the "boonies". I am sure most people are not in the "boonies", and do not need that analog pick up, but for the few that do, it will be here. Just give it time. Besides, this phone is only a step on the way to the infamous V710 and the VX8000--my choice-. I do not plan on getting this phone. It will be outdated very soon anyways because of the EV-DO network being launched in August I believe. Only the VX8000 is equiped to handle it right now. So that seems to be an obvious choice. The only question is how long do we have to wait untill it does actually come out?

Thats my question cuz i AM in the boonies. The only thing is that most of the time AMPS doesnt even work where i'm at but i still like to have it just in case it does.

Well, my source did not give me a concrete date, but the usual wait time is 1-2 months after the phone is introduced. If you can wait that long, good. Otherwise, you may be stuck out of luck, unless a fire is lit under VZW's ass to put more phones out that are tri-mode.

Not that I disagree that there is a 7000a, but you actually think that if someone calls cust service, that they will have the slightest clue what is going on? they are so stupid and never know what they are doing. They screw up stuff left and right, and then send in pissed off customers into the stores where I get stuck dealing with c.s. mistakes
