Memory Problem???? HELP!!!
When I try to save the ringtone which I send to myself over e-mail (Options->Save->Sound) it tells me that "Media Gallery Memory Full!" afterwards it suggests to delete data from the media gallery. I don't have any videos, extra ringtones saved on this phone, i do have about 5 pictures in medium resolution. When I take a picture the memory gauge says that I have 15% memory used. In Get it Now options it says I have 1.2 Mb of free space. So i believe I have enought memory for a 172kb ringtone. Please advise on what should I do.

I think your problem may be that the size of the ringtone file is too large.
I have also had problems with large files (over 100kb). Try reducing the file size or downloading another file that is smaller and see if it works. It problably will.
Make sure your file has the .mid extension too.

I don't think that's the problem. I have the same problem too, and the last .mid file I sent was only 60kb. It seems to me, that even when you delete a file that was uploaded to your phone, it doesn't really get deleted. You know, like databases, maybe the space remains, so you gotta compress it somehow? I'm just guessing.. but there's something definitely wrong with the inbox space.

What exactly is the type of file you are trying to send to your phone? Has it been convered in anyway from an MP3?
How did you go about sending it? What exact steps did you use? Did you include something in the Subject and body of the eamil if you used email?
Have you tried sending it through Verizon pix?
Provide as much information as possilbe so we can try to figure out what is wrong.
Try going to a FREE ringtone site and saving and sending one of their small .mid ringtones and see if that works. They are usually about 8 to 12kb. If that works, then it narrows down where the problem may be.

It's a mono .mp3 cut down to 29.something seconds, then remamed to .mid.
I sent it through mail2world.com's email server. I did the same thing (but different file, 140kb) a few weeks ago, to my daughter's 9900, putting something in the subject and the body of the message. It worked fine then.
I just tried a few days ago, to do the same thing on my son's 9900. The message went through, but the file didn't play. I saved the file and tried to play it in the Media Gallery, same thing. Then I deleted the file and the message. I did it several times, til it started cancelling the upload, and leaving a notification message, saying the memory full, delete last message, message will be held for 4 days. The ringtone thing maybe a block by Verizon, since I've heard they recently redid the Pix place site. Everything uploaded to ###@vzwpix.com might go through some sort of filter, and maybe they have disabled all uploaded .mid files from playing?

Your problem may be in the conversion process of the MP3. The phone is not designed to accept MP3s and you have to fool it.
Go to this: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php ?fm=m&ff=407&fi=120143 and make sure you followed EACH step exactly, especially step 6!
Unless converted properly, you have a good chance of it NOT working and you will get error messages.
But FIRST, as I mentioned before, you should go to a free ringtone site, like http://www.free-polyphonic-ringtones-4u.co.uk /films.php and download a TRUE .mid ringtone and see if that works.
Since there are many steps to downloading and uploading these ringtones, we need to cut the process in half and see where the problem is.
But first, go to your "Messages" in...

If you want to use an MP3, it needs to be converted to a .mid. Actually it won't be converted, the phone is fooled into thinking it is an MP3.
To do so, you have to follow the procedures EXACTLY with the link in my previous message.
But ALL the steps have to be done, including the sampling rate and conversion to mono. If followed, it works, if not--- it doesn't! 😁

I did what you told me, sending an real midi ringtone, to my daughter's phone (since my son's inbox was probably still plugged up), and it worked!
Then this weekend, I downloaded Goldwave (and the mp3/lame plugin) and converted it and sent it to my son's phone, and last I heard he recognized it was harmonica music (cause it only previewed a second of it in his inbox).
Thank you soooo much, you have restored my faith in this phone! 🙂
