Why in the would would any of you buy the CDM 8900 or the cdm 8910?Little do you people know that those phones are all made by Hyundai....Now if you good people listen and wait till the end of Jan or early Feb you will have the new CDM 9900 that is made by toshiba.Toshiba makes the best phones and the LGs 6000 are already 7 months old.The Toshibas have the best reception going all the way back when they made analog phones but at that time the phones were costing you $450.00.So the people that have bought the Cdm 8900s you are already out of luck and the smart ones are just waiting a few weeks for the best Audiovox that ever have came to the marketplace.Johnny 😉

I am assuming you are joking, so I guess it would be wrong to flame that comment. The one about us not knowing they are made by Hyundai. I think just about everyone here knows that. Also I am willing to give you $500.00 if you can get me the Audiovox 9900 in late Jan. or early Feb.
THanks,
Glenn

I just got the cdm8900. My cdm9500 broke and insurance replaced it with Moto V60s. I now know what the "s" stands for in the model number. Great speaker phone. That's it. Anyway, I am not enamored with the 8900. The address book is extremely tedious. It might be faster to look up numbers on my palm pilot and dial them manually.

I would LOVE IT (emphasized) if I could get a newer 9xxx audiovox. Problem is that I only have the 14 day window to exchange it.

I thought about getting the Vx6000 (LG) but it doesn't really solve the important problems.

Any inside scoop on the 9900?? Or ANY new phones for that matter?

You might want to check out the new LG 4500 that will be out sometime next week. In the meantime, there is a description on phonescoop and one on LG's US site (www.lgeus.com)
It has speakerphone, and look solid. No camera though...
Hopw this helps.

Jesus Christ!!! Dude never buy a car on your own. I flew right over that one. There is no way that I would accept a V60S if I had a 9500 insured. My girlfriend made a claim on her 9500 and Asurion offered her a V60p, a T720 or a VX4400. Of course, she chose the VX4400 which is still pound for pound the most reliable phone VZW sells. Forget what I said earlier about buying someone's used phone. Call your insurance provider back and threaten a little violence if they do not make this right. You got hosed.

Nice words dude, showes how shallow you are. If you would like to comment on something try to hide your IQ by not shooting out blurbs. A little violence....? Nice...Gage

Yeah, I saw the 9900 today. It definetly put the brakes on my even considering upgrading to the 8900. I'm going to wait. Of course, unless you have a backup phone then you probably cannot afford to wait until VZW decides to release the 9900. It is smooth looking to me. I think I'd take the 8900 over the VX 6000 easily though. But if I were you, I'd buy someone's old phone and wait them out.
