Quality of wallpapers sent to phone

I am graphic savvy and I decided I wanted to create pretty wallpapers for my phone. I sent them using VZWPix Place and the quality of the wallpapers were cut down severely. Does anyone know how to keep them good quality?

☹️ I have the same problem sending pictures to pix place, but if you send it directly to your e-mail, it will not cut down the quality.

I don't want to send FROM my phone, I want to send TO my phone.
