Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm on my third 9900, don't get me wrong, my raving review has not changed in the least. However the problem I had with the second phone was in regard to the GIN apps and the scheduler...the phone switched off on its own and then powered up again (no, I'm not talking about the automatic powersave mode after being idle for a few seconds) and then not only that, but I was unable to save the apps to my phone (e.g. ringtones, wallpaper...) without error messages of internal coding.
And so I am now on my third 9900, this one is refurbished, but only has 41 minutes of talktime prior to my activation...and seems to work just fine. They even sent a copy of the test results.

The only time I have heard of similar problems is when customers have tried to make non-authorized or non-documented software changes to the phone and screwed things up.

Usually what they did and the problem it caused does not show up until later when they try to access some other feature and then they think they just have a bad phone and don't realize it may have been something they did a couple of days ago.

Did you may try to make any non-instruction manual changes? May not apply to your problem but others should be aware of this.

No. I haven't touched anything other than what's already there. But I was able to fix the problem with a GIN specialist over the phone. The 3rd replacement will get shipped back tomorrow, as that refurbished phone cannot even get the main page of the GIN.
I spent almost 20 dollars on the 2nd replacement's GIN just trying to experimentally get it to work, but to no avail. So they've credited my account for the unused purchases, and I've decided to keep my 2nd replacement and ship the 3rd one back.

But, yes, I completely agree with you in that people unknowingly ruin their settings when trying to do their own thing with the phone. However, in my case, it occured as soon as I activated it...with no toying around.
