Midi Files

Ironically, I have a program of games which has some great midi tunes. I am able to save the midi tunes as individual files, and I would like to download them to use as ringtones. The one problem is that they are too large. Is there a way to shorten the file to use as a ringtone on the phone?

There are midi editors... however most MIDI files are fairly small... I have moved many to my 9900, they vary from 4k to 50k files and most are whole songs 2 to 4 minutes in length...

There is not a problem using these as ringtones... they just run for 20-25 seconds and then stop... the phone does not care that they are longer...

Thanks TMBS! I was worried about taking up too much memory, but I will download and see what happens.

How can I send the Midi files to my phone? I've tried sending them to my phone#@vtext.com and I can't access the midi. What am I doing wrong. Is it possible to send midi files as text messages? Or do I need to send them as pic messages?

Apologies for bothering ya TMBS. I searched the forum and found my answer. I guess the only way to send ringtones is through vzwpix.com I got it to work.
