Ok, here's the deal. I had this problem with mine but got around it.
The problem is that you can not save a sound file that is larger than 150kb in size. The bit rate of the file must also be between 64 and 40.
This is what you need to do. Lower the bit rate
or length of the song so the file size is less
than 150kb. You should have no problem saving it then.

Ok, let us know.
I was trying to save two music files over the
weekend, but they were 168kb and 180kb in size.
This gave me that "media Gallery Full" error, regardless of it only being 42% full.
I went back and lowered the bit rate so the two files were 142kb and 148kb. I was then
able to save both of them.

I would be nice if the cell phone makers (all of them) had in their manuals more details about the max file size, bit rate, etc...
I'm tired of this trial and error that eats up my Pix package.

*Thinks to self cause doesn't want to answer for FAUguy (lol)- I made mine 22050Hz at 24Kbps mono which ended up to be 89kb large. I figure as long as it sounds good - the smaller the better*

the bit rate between 48-64, and 41khz

🤣 Your mind is in the gutter, guitarguy! lol! I bought a 129 gig hard drive cause bigger is usually better! BUT until I can have a phone that I can connect to my computer and EASILY transfer files, the smaller the better as long as it looks and sounds fine. lol! Why can't they have phones that use compact flash cards?! We always get great technology with many limitations! argh!! 😕

I agree but just look at history, the phones keep getting better within 2 years I am sure the cell phones will have some kind of removable storage card that will benefit the user. Just give it time in 2 years we will look back and say wow, this new phone is fantastic why wasn't the 9900 capable of this LOL

And doesn't that just suck! As soon as we buy new hardware it is out of date! Just looking at my 128MB compact flash card that I paid $120 for... now they are about $10!! Got a scanner that was about $300 that has an ISA scsi card. I only have one computer with isa slots - an old PII 266MHz!! rofl! I push the power button for the computer... go make lunch, then when I am done eating its finally booted up! lol! Don't cha just love it?!

Well, just look on the bright side of things...... at lease you didn't buy the 710 and have all those poroblems people are having with it. Your computer may be outdated and slow. So your memory card droped down in price. But we are dealing with a BRAND new phone and look at all the problems the 710 is causing.
And don't cha just love the ones who just get married and either kill one another or file for divorce papers the very next day? LMAO!
