The verizon people who had taken my order came back and said that they cancelled my order 🙄

I guess I'll have to wait the June 7th date.

That's a bum deal. I ordered mine today through the regular 611 crowd. Great bunch, got Int'l Traveler involved to answer the sim card question (does it have one), NE2 worked out, kept the same plan, etc., etc. I fully expect them to notify me in a day or two that they're not going to fill the order but it was worth a try. I'll let you know if it shows up!

I feel bad for you guys..... đŸ˜ĸ mine will be here on monday. 😁 you just gotta know who to talk to.

For all you who have friends who work with vzw and are telling you they "can't" or "don't know" and all the other stuff they say, find a new friend at vzw who knows what they CAN and CAN'T actually do, and how to do it! 😎

i guess it helps that i worked there for 5 yrs so i know the system and how to get around things. ha ha.

Good Luck to all!!!!!!!

How do you mean "what market"? I'm not a business user, but am a Verizon user, in the US, wanting to use the phone primarily in the US, possibly overseas with a local sim.

if you no somebody who works at a retail store there, tell them to order it for you via "direct fulfilment" they should know what that is. the "dymax" code or the "part number" is: SCHA790ZKV they will also have to add another line item for the sim card whos "dymax" code is: VZWSIM-1 and then it will ask for the sim card # which they wont have obviously. they can just make one up. try zeros or ones or whatever it takes.

If they are not able to do this there, there are other ways but this is the easiest. hopefuly the person you know will not be afraid to do it.

vzw systems on the western half of the country are all the same save a few smaller markets so this should work!

If you dont know someone, a regular rep will not even try. the...

sorry, i don't know anyone in your area. ☚ī¸

the other ways involve getting your "personal" acct turned into a "business" acct. there are ways in billing system vzw uses to change the acct type so they think you are a business customer.

you only have to have one line of service as long as it is in a "business name" to be a business customer!

its amazing how many cracks there are in the system that the greediest company on earth uses. if your good enough to find em!

another little thing you can do that i think everyone should know by now, since my excoworkers and i found out the first day it was availabe is that it is extremely easy to get all the "get it now" stuff you could want for free!!

i hope you get the phone soon! i'm...

My humble opinion is why not wait until June 7th? Heck, by the time you go to all the trouble to make a new "friend", get them to quietly order the phone on the sly, yada yada yada... it'll be June 7th anyway. I think it would be a lot more effective and better for everyone if those regular good customers that are VZW's bread and butter write them a letter (address posted on the VZW web site) explaining how it feels to be treated like a 2nd class customer. I've had some success writing them snail mail in the past.

The only downside to waiting is maybe their stocks in the warehouse will be low by June 7th. Yesterday I was told there were just over 900 units in available.

Does anyone know what the pricing will be for using the GSM s...

The prices you just quoted are correct. $1.99/min (premium is $2.49). Our roaming agreement is with Vodephone over there. And T-Mobil is only accessable in about 70 countries. We have 105 with our global phone. Also, pricing will go down with time once it has been in place for a while depending on customer reaction and demand. If more people want it and use it, then we can afford to drop the rates. Right now the only customer base we see is business men and women who travel extensively for large corporations. If our consumer launch goes well things may change. New things are always expensive.

mmm... okay, where did the $1.29/min come from? Its being given out by at least two of the reps at Int'l Traveler. Or is this another special deal for B2B?

I haven't done a country count and would be interested to make a comparison, however I can say T-Mobile works everywhere I've been (and that includes some pretty crummy places the normal joe doesn't go). I think T-Mobile is using their connection to Deutches Telecom so it is probably a pretty large list.

$1.99/min isn't reasonable nor going to generate a lot of business. Hope this phone becomes available to real people soon. I also hope the per minute charges drop this week if not sooner!
