So, I've seen posted several places that SE plans a Jan. '04 release in the US. Well, it's the end of Jan. '04 and no sign of a release here. Obviously it's not in Jan. Any ideas on what the actual time frame might be and what the hold up is? If it's going to be too much longer, I'll just import one. Darned tax refund is burning a hole in my pocket!

Where have you heard this? afaik, there are no plans by any current carrier to release this phone in the US. Lets see, its GSM so it would have to be AT&T, Cingular or T-Mobile - and AT&T is going to be wrapped up with the v600, Cingular with buying them ;) - which leaves TMobile, and they give no indication of doing so. I would go ahead and buy the phone (from Europe, E-Bay, some forum etc) if I were you. You might have a very long wait otherwise (over 4-5 months).

I have not read/heard it will be released by any carrier...though mine works well with T-Mobile. I did see, yesterday, that it is now "In Stock" on the SE website (I know, I shouldn't be surfing frm work). 🙄

Vipermad: What do you estimate the street price of the P900 to be? I am looking at getting one, but 1000$ seems a bit high at the moment.

Well, the SE site now lists them as IN STOCK at $799.99, roughly what I paid. Sad to say, fo me...I am not a patient person, so I hate waiting. Plus, I am a gadget-guy, and I missed my Palm (in this case Palm-like) interface. I am still figuring out some things, as we do with most new phones....but this thing is the best yet (for me). I started with the Samsung I300, then I300...then had to switch to Verizon and all they had at the time was the Kyocera 7135. When the Samsung I600 came out I had to have it....but I soon realized that I could not do wi...
