Although it's possible that the Photon Q has worse battery life, if you're basing that assertion strictly on manufacturer specs... I wouldn't.
Battery life numbers are notoriously inconsistent, as there is no industry standard way of testing. I would wait until the phone comes out and reviewers can at least chime in on their experience with real-world usage and battery life.
