E715 Flashlight and Photo Caller ID...
I've read about a flashlight that everyone seems to love. Where and how do you use this???
And by the way, there is no picture caller ID as some ppl have mentioned, which disappoints me a bit, considering it is stated as having it.
Also, battery life is not great.
I'd get an extra battery but there is no desktop charger for it. So that's pointless.
I wanna trade it back in and get something different, but that's the best T-Mobiles' got.
Weird how I research the phone and read nothing but great things...only to purchase it myself and find out it is average.

In order to get the flashlight, you need to hold the volume control button (on the left side of the phone) in for a few seconds.. The light will then turn on. It's quite bright. I've only done this with the case closed.
There is picture caller ID. Go into your phone book, select a name, and then with one of the numbers selected choose options and then #3, "Photo Caller ID".
Charing the phone is quick. Just get a $10 car charger, or I believe there is even a desktop charger sold at some of the online stores..

IVE TRIED THIS WITH THE CASE CLOSED TOO. BUT YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN 3 SEPARATE TIMES FOR THE LIGHT TO WORK.BECAUSE THE FIRST PUSH BRING UP THE DATE DISPLAY/ANALOG CLOCK, THEN SECOND PUSH DOESNT DO NOTHING...UNTIL THE THIRD PUSH YOU GIVE IT A FEW SECONDS THEN THE FLASHLIGHT WILL APPEAR...PAIN IN THE BUTT. BUT IT WORKS.

Thanks for the info fellas. That light is DAMN bright! Bout near blinded myself when I got it to work.
As for the photo caller id, whether or not it works in the internal window is pointless, in my opinion, but that's just me. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I was lead to believe the external screen was color and thus had photo caller id. Oh well.
Another gripe, lol, missed calls. You have to open the phone to know that you missed calls. To make matters worse, it doesn't give you a time as to when the call was missed.
Roughly $300 for this. Ouch. 😕

the great thing about this phone is that you can store a home number, and an email as well with the cell phone number. Its easier and convienent.

MENU>3>1>1
select the call that was missed and it gives you the date and time.
as far as the external window there is an NEC model that has a color LCD... look into that one. as for the e715, i selected an icon from the list of pictures available for the GROUPS... for my wife it was of the gold couple icon... that shows up on the external window when she calls. probably not what you wanted... but its something.
if you want super cool phones, move to japan... or wait a year or two until we catch up with them. 🙂
