Using PC Suite to update ringers

I'm running PC Suite 6.2.c5 (The newest one) and I have a tonne of MID Ring tones on my PC.

When I go into the sound editor program, the mid plays as it should but refuses to update to the phone.

It only says ... Failed to update ringing tone to the phone.

I've updated images and such to it so I don't know why this won't update my ringers too.

Any ideas?

Seems like mine would not take really big midi files.
try some of these

Nope ... none of those worked for me either ... don't know why ... I can get them on there in the tones gallery when using Oxygen Phone Manager and most of them work ... but not with PC Suite.

Also I accidently was able to add a tone right to the actuall tones list and now I can't see it in the browser to delete it ... any idea how I can?

Scratch that ... I figured it out ... there is a remove custom ringtones option on the menu 🤭

BUUUUT ... I do have a q still ... Java games ... On PC Suite ... it says, file to large. So I go into Oxygen Phone Manager II and add them to the java/games tab and it says it's transfered to the phone ... but I can't find it anywhere and certainly not in the downloads/games directory

Are you trying to install .jar and .jad files?

Is ur phone the 6225?

If you are using .sis files then they won't work.

I am surprized. I actually got almost all those games to work, But the phone is so small it's really no fun.
Anyway the 6225 is a series 40 phone so only use those type games.
I tried some of the other series games and got what you describe, but I could see it in the Nokia Application Installer.
I could not get OPM2 to work and when I read it's trouble shoot guide it said to uninstall Nokia suite to get it to work. That is crap so I gave up on that. 🙂

You shouldn't have to but u can restore to factory settings but back up your phone book first.

Rather than submit a new thread, I thought I'd pose my question here. I'm using PC suite 5.22 and am trying to update ringers via irDA. I'm not sure if it's the irDA or the phone or the software, but the IR connection is patchy, and whenever I try to upload a midi file, the PC suite claims that there's no phone detected when the connection manager has spotted the 6225. I've thought about getting a DKu-5 cable, but if I can make the IR transfer work, I'll be happy enough.

I did try upgrading to PC Suite v6.41, but XP whined and moaned about stability issues so I went back to 5.22. I'm not sure whether my firewall software might be a problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Baa!
