does anyone have a fix/work around for the USB problem?

Neither my desktop nor my laptop will install the USB driver for the phone, getting very irritated! can't sync with Outlook, cuz the phone isn't recognized, nor with sbcglobal.net calendar.
please, oh please someone help me.

However, I am running Windows 7 64x and there is a different driver you have to use. This one is not updated.

Try removing your battery for about 30 seconds. Once you plug it back in. Windows should recognize the phone.

I am looking to transfer files (pictures) from my phone to my work computer, and they have disabled installing new software, so I can't put Kies on it.. other Android phones I have used (Moto Backflip, HTC Inspire) let me just plug the USB in and it is just like a portable hd, with no extra software required..
any ideas?
