hey yes it will work within the us because its a tri-band phone and its gonna be unlocked becuase like u said it will not be sold within the us so its gonna be a european phone or asia phone most likly it will be a asia phone. u can just plug ur sim in and it will work. hope it helps. oh yea the phone is relesased in hong kong its around 1700 hkd which is around 200 in usd

u just need to find a international phone wholesaler or a store thats sells it chances he go t it from a wholesaler anyway way
