i work for Verizon when have they ever "pulled some crap like that" problem is that somebody posts a guess of a price of a phone and people all go crazy. Dont believe anything you hear until it come straight from the source. Just like everybody was saying the iPhone 5 was coming last year and nope just the 4S.

I got an e-mail a few days ago saying I would get $100 off if I upgraded now. They probably inflate the price so they can give you "discounts" like that. 😁
