Samsung SCH-A670
contemplating buying (i have untill the 18th) HELP!!!
i've come to realize that verizon doesn't offer that many great phones.. this phone is great, but so old, and samsumg hasn't come out with anything to upgrade this (unless its a vcast)...i'm wondering if i should buy this one... i don't like motorola phones cause they seem too weak and they look ugly, lol. however, this doesn't have tri-mode which comes in handy.. i'm either getting this phone or the Moto v276...help me out, thanks!

I've said before in other boards, I'm disappointed that Verizon seems to have abandoned the "small phone" format. Everything they come out with now is huge. Not everyone wants VCast, massive screen, PDA functions, etc. The A670 is the only real option for a sm...

Another alternative is the a650. Although it is not a camera phone, it is pretty much the same size as the a670. The added benefit to people like eleven11 is that the a650 is tri-mode, wheras the a670 is not.

That's true - if tri-mode is your first priority, and you can sacrifice the color outside screen, camera, etc, then the a650 would be worth looking at. Another small-ish camera phone is the Audiovox 8910, but I would stay away from that one since it's gotten some pretty bad reviews on this site... Also it is digital only.

Verizon does have a lot of good non- V-Cast phoens though between the Samsung 650, 670, LG VX 6100, 3300, 7000, 4650, 4700, 8910, and Kyocera KX1v , and KX2, there are a great variety of non-V-Cast phones to choose from that are still very small and great phones to own. And some of them are tri-mode even though its not much better tahn all digital because if you think about it, THe entire country is pretty much all digital now anyways.
