I've spoken to alot of people that say the Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 2 version that allows you to upload ringtones & images isn't out yet. Well.... that may be true, but thats never stopped me before. Here is how you get it:

Firstly you'll need a previous version of Motorola Mobile PhoneTools and an update. So go here and get it:

http://www.motclub.com/html/programs.htm »

click on - Mobile phone tools 2.19a

Scroll down & Download 2 files:
1. Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 1.23c Original English
2. Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 2.16 Update English

Install PhoneTools 1.23c first. Then upgrade using PhoneTools 2.16 Update. Once this is done use Liveupdate in the program to download & install version 2.19.

Once your done with ...

Can you reply with the actual error message? Also what OS are you using? I have found my Win2K acted funny but XP Pro worked like a charm!

I am running XP pro and the first thing i tried to install is 123c software and at the end i got this message: Unhandled exception, error number 0x80040707 description dll function call crashed: pbkInstall._get booknames setup will now terminate. and then i get a few more error numbers popups like before.

Also my batteries don't even last anything close to the 6.5 hours.

If a bluettoth headset is configured, you will not be able to dial a number from a bluetooth enabled palm at the same time.

Usually when I get this type of error in XP pro the only thing I can do to get the job done is:

Restore back to a previous point.

or

Download the file again because I suspect the file of being corrupt.

Hope this helps you.

Any Windows OS is a sensitive thing. So depending on how much usage, installing & uninstalling has been done a re-install of XP might be in order to make it work. I don't know how bad you want this app to work.

I personally am a tech freak. I would re-install if I even suspected that would help make this app work.

This error has nothing to do with a corrupt version. It's due to a conflict between MPT and Microsoft Outlook. To get around this problem, follow these steps...

During the MPT 1.23 install when the Error message pops up,
1) Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up task manager.

2) End Task on the Application (This will prevent the setup routine from uninstalling the app and removing the registry settings).

3) Now install the 2.16 update, start Mobile Phone Tools and follow the instructions to install your phone. Once everything is installed, goto Setup and do the Live update to get the latest version

...if that doesn't work then uninstall Microsoft Office, install MPT, then reinstall Office.

The first link to motclub doesn't work and the second link doesn't have 1.23c.

Any ideas?

Wow. I just tried the first link and it openned. Then I tried to download the file and that worked too. I don't know whats up on your end. Regarding the second link, it only houses the update files.

Try again from another PC I guess. Or maybe the link was down when you tried it. It works now as of this posting.

Hi!
I'm just wondering and wanted to know how did you get to play the ringtones on mp3 format?

Cuz i have a Motorola V525, i did what you said for the software and everything worked nicely. When i finished transfering the ringtones on mp3 format and tried it on my V525 it says corrupt cannot read, tried it couple of times and it's the same.

Please help cuz i got me some ringtones on mp3 format that i'm dying to play/hear on my V525 😢 😢 😢

Or do you know any software that converts mp3 to ringtone for Motorola V525

Ps:
Thanks in advance and Thank you for you're instruction for the software 😁 😁 😁
