Does anyone know why T-Mobile removed the V300 from its web site? Short supplies? When will Motorola start shipping the phone again?

I saw that... I emailed them about it, too and I am still waiting for a response. 👿 I want to get it, too.

I got a response from them. They sold out their inventory. They said they are getting weekly shipments from Motorola though. I'm not sure if they have a backlog to fulfill though before they post it again.

"Thank you for your reply to T-Mobile. I am sorry about the confusion regarding your attempt to get information on the Motorola V300. T-Mobile has not discontinued this product. It is in extremely high demand so we do not have it in stock. Currently there are around 3,000 orders still waiting to be filled for this product. We do expect the phone to become available eventually however I am unable to provide you a date as to when this would happen. I am sorry for any problems that this issue may have caused you."

I do find it interesting that there's been no shortage of T-Mobile branded V300s available on E-Bay; many with the subsidy lock still in place. And not just from a few folks reselling units they purchased retail, either. There are several sellers that seem to have a steady supply of NIB units and at least one that's selling in multiple item auction bulk.

T-Mobile also has them available if you call in the order. I guess they feel they don't have enough to meet the demand if they post it on the site.

And, oddly enough, Wal-Mart has them in stock for T-Mobile service. Last place I would have thought to look.

Sure you can get them from the web site if you are a new customer, but what about existing customers? I am an existing t mobile customer and have been trynig to get this phone for the past month and I cannot get ahold of it because it is not available for upgrades at the moment. Sure they make their money off of new activations but what about losing their old customers. Does anybody out there know of a place where I can get this phone at a comprable price to what t mobile is offering it for?
thanks
