Is the iPhone 4S 4G capable?

I had heard that there were no iPhones that support LTE (or WIMAX 🤨 ) but on the AT&T wireless site is shows the iPhone 4S categorized as a 4G device. Is this true?

ATT is slowly pushing out LTE, but the iPhone 4 is not LTE capable. They are using HSPA which is very fast and they tout as 4G speeds. So industry wide LTE is officially considered 4G with HSPA being a stop gap until they roll out LTE everywhere. The iPhone 5 will support LTE and will be out later this year. This talks about it:
