so basically the company that is sue happy completely stole the notification system from android, and then released a phone thats still 6 months behind a lot of high end android devices... way to go crapple!!

the screen is still to small and they just basically played catch up to several devices already on the market so nothing new and really worth while here i will stick with a android device thats bigger faster and way better...in my own opinion

Of all the smartphones made, I can't stand android! Battery life sucks, and all you really have is a lot of games to play. Whoopeee!!!

I've tried several Android phones & all of them have the same problems. Very poor battery life, buggy, force closes, lock ups, restarts, etc.... I could go on and on. I always come back to the iPhone because it just works & works well. Battery life is better & there aren't all those stupid forcloses, lock ups & phone reboots. The last Android phone I had was the Motorola Atrix. Way too much hype. I had so many problems with it. I am back to the iPhone 4 & am here to stay. I couldn't be happier now.

lol i get iphones have "less bugs" but that is mostly do to people not sure how to use there phones and the apps on them. so really it isnt the phones fault. Both operating systems have their flaws, if you argued that you really shouldnt have an opinion. but in the case of this phone, not many upgrades from the one before to be honest. But if you have to wait a whole year before you get the next model of ONE phone they should do a hell of a lot more in my opinion.

As with any other phone Android phones have their issues, Battery life can be an issue however you can download apps to save on the battery life, Such as Juice Defender, generally it will double your battery life, as well as Advanced App Killer. There are several Android phones that had bugs, The Atrix, Inspire, or any Motorola Smartphone with At&t. There were also several good ones, such as the Mytouch 4g and 4g slide, the Nexus One and Samsung Infuse (Have never used any of verizons droids so I can't state on that)

There were bugs with the Iphone as well, such as the issues with the antenna, quite frankly I'm suprised the Iphone decided to stick with the external antenna on it after all the issues they had with it.

My Big problem w...

Stop telling people to use these apps... they cause almost 90% of the issues I see on a daily basis... if you don't believe me then just google it... the batter life gain isn't worth what it does to the phone

Amen, Advanced Task Killer should be called F#$% Up Your Phone for Free. That one app is responsible for the vast majority of problems I encounter with android phones

Another nice thing about the iPhone is it doesn't have 4G which helps battery life.

When I was using Android phones, it seemed that after a few minor updates (i.e. 2.0 to 2.1 or 2.2) then the phone couldn't be updated anymore to the newest OS because of hardware limitations. This would occur within a year or so of the phone coming out.

Also Android is much buggier than the iPhone. With my Android, I would have to turn off the phone every couple of days in order to get good performance out of it (and this is even with an app that ran and that would automatically force close those apps that I designated). With my iPhone I can go a long time without having to turn the phone off and then on again.

The apps on the iPhone are more stable than some of the ones I used on my Android. Also I rarely have to worry about viruses...

Battery is insanely easy to fix on an Android...you turn off auto-brightness, and close applications when not in use.

I used to work for AT&T and have sold the iPhone all the way up to the iPhone 4. Every day, for the years I spent selling them, we had them come back with all kinds of issues. EVERY smart phone has its own respective issues.

Force closes and lockups / freezes are just from having too many things running. They are protective measures to keep the processor from melting a hole through the phone.

Sorry, but I always did all of those things & still had the same problems with every one of my Android phones. On my iPhone I do have the auto brightness off, but I don't have to worry about whats running in the background. Sorry if this sounds rude, I don't mean it to be, but I hate when everyone says you need to do this or you need to do that to your Android phone. I shouldn't have to run through hoops to get a phone to work. Just my opinion. I know lots of people that love there Android phones & that's great. I'm just stating my experience with Android & IOS & I find IOS to be a lot smoother.

If you have an Android with 2.2 and up task killers really don't do any good. You just have to be careful about what apps you download because some will drain your battery pretty quickly. I have a G2 and the battery life is pretty good. I rarely play games on my phone, when I'm at work I turn off my auto-sync, adjust screen timeout, brightness, turn off touch tone sound (I can't stand that noise)...all those little changes save on battery life. I work 10 hour shifts and listen to my music all night on my phone w/o my battery dying.

Been a guy android since the beginning and I think it's awesome. I just got the 4s and let's face it. Way more polished than android. I had the epic touch for a week and the 4s is in a different league it's faster battery life is way better and have it rebooted it since I got it. I had to reboot the epic touch at least 3-4 tImes a day and before that my EVO at least once. I do agree the screen is to small and will take time to get use to.

i have to say I'm glad that so many people have been able to express their OPINION with no lash back from anyone else!

lets be honest when it comes to phones you like what you like nd everyone has a different experience I personally am on my 10th android device and really haven't had any real issues to speak of. I now have tmobiles galaxy s 2 which spec wise is better than the 4s and i can tell you all i haven't been happier with a device yet it's fast great screen size and battery life is awesome the 1850 battery size is great!

ultimately people will buy what they like my point with this thread was simply to point out that apple really fell behind 16 months later and it was already old news for specs, but again thats my opinion as mu...

What about the iPhone 4s, besides screen size, is lacking? Or I should say, "6 months behind"?

a dual core 1 ghz processor has been out on many android devices for around 6 months this isn't groundbreaking or really even current as on the galaxy s 2 for tmobile i have a 1.5 ghz dual core with faster modem capabilities than the 4s offers. I also do recognize that the camera was bumped up but 8 mp cameras are common now too nothing about the 4s is really "new" or groundbreaking at all.

I guarantee the iPhone 1 gig processor is faster than your galaxy whatever. It's not just about the numbers it's how it functions. Plus the camera also has upgraded all parts. It's clearly better than any other phone camera on the market.

no it is not the max speed of that device is 14.4 mbps which is equal to a few but less than most 4g devices at least on t-mobile. I would wager thats slower than verizon and at&t's lte as well
