I think I just got a lemon. After a number of visits to the Verizon store and numerous phone calls, they said it was a bug on their end and they were working on a fix. Come back the next day for a status. Good thing about Iphone is you can go to the Apple store and have them take a look. They ended up giving me a brand new replacement and things are working so far.
