Good day to all. I have been told that the Toshiba 4050 has speech built in to it so that a blind person can navigate the menus and get other information. Has anyone had any experience with these features? thanks.

Good morning Steve. Who makes the vi660 and how does it differ from the toshiba 4050? Is the fi 660 a sprint phone? I ask these questions because I am not a sprint subscriber. Therre are individuals in my office who do use the service as well as I do like to keep current on the latest developements for the Blind. I use Cingular GSM and there are two companies developing software for phones. I sincerely look forward to your reply. Thanks.

smasung makes the vi660 it is also known as the samsung a660... how does it difer from the 4050? well it is has no camera and no external caller id and the screen is not as clear... how ever that is all because it was designed for the visually impared the great feature about it is that it has the most powerful voice features on the market... for example once you want input all the data into the phone book you do not have to then program in the voice it will read the name from your phone book automaticaly... in addition it will do a voice digit dial.. another great thing about the 660 is that it is not an audiovox, the 4050 even though it has the toshiba name on it it is still audiovox which by the way sprint will no longer carry the audiovox...
