I had heard rumors that sprint gave up on LG after the 1010 recall and the 5350 being such a piece of crap. But the LG 5400 has been given the "VI" designation following their new (and in my oppinion uber-lame) naming scheme. The VI for vision (VI660), the RL for ready link phones, the VM for video mail phones. My question is, why has the 5400 camera-less phone been given the designation that would appear to be one step closer to release, when the more advanced 5450 camera phone, which has been in the works since before the price drop on the LG5350 a year ago, has not been given any two letter code. What would they use for "Camera Phone" anyway? They couldn't think of anything for the A620. I'm guessing PM for picture mail, since VM means vi...

Time answered my question for me. the other phone was released by US cellular, so it didn't get a two letter sprint designation. At the time of the original post, I was figuring that both phones would be offered by Sprint.
