Not for a long time! First, VZN must release an update for ICS 4.06 because CDMA is not compatible with the GSM update 4.05 for other carrier devices. VZW must then discount the original handset the way they've done with the HTC Rezound (from $299 to $49) or at least offer some kind of price reduction to deplete stock at hand.

There has been no update support for the multitude of "fixes" in signal strength and other parameters needing to be addressed for the Galaxy Nexus.

A Nexus "2" is not on the immediate Horizon. ICS updates must become available to Moto and HTC phones before anyone would see a new device in the Nexus series.

I wouldn't sit vigil by the phone, waiting....

Good to know thanks stormsurvivor.
I have been researching new phones as I am getting a new one in June.
Still not sure which one to go with at this point.
I use my phone daily for business and they 3 key features that are most important are Clear Calls, Loud Speaker, Great Camera...

I purchased the Galaxy Nexus at release time and have a pretty good handle on the positives and its limitations. The native ICS from Android has been improved immeasureably with the inclusion of 3rd party apps which have enhanced performance significantly.

In my situation, installing over 180 apps and running close to 50 widgets and 20 folders, there are ram considerations that have affected performance. With so much data to load, there is some lag time closing apps. I swipe the notification drawer so as not to view a blank screen for a few moments. As for memory, all handsets are device specific, so the right selection of your content is important. I would recommend the Nova Launcher for ICS. There is tremendous improvement with 7 hom...
