BlackBerry Torch 9850

What a dedicated Blackberry addict I am even if it's to the bitter end

My fling with the iPhone is now history and I have a brand new 9850 in my hands...whoopi

First thing I did was go to Seidio's website and order a case, holster and mandatory screen protectors. I like their products a lot because you are not pulling off the case to put the phone in a dock every night. Except...there is no dock for this thing yet from Seidio

Like Stormsurvivor says, the screen protectors don't cover the entire exposed surface of the phone because the screen is all one piece of seamless plastic. We will see how this holds up over time.

Other interesting things:
-The lock button is now top center which is completely covered if in my holster..oop!

-Prior Storms came with wall chargers, world adapter plugs and sync cables. This Torch came with what seems to now be an industry standard mini plug. From there you plug in your usb sync cable. Easy to travel with for sure but I think they cheaped out. The iPhone had this too though.

-Nice big Screen! 3.7 inch now? Not like the 4.3 inch bad boy androids. Storms had 3.25 incurs right?

-Surepress is history and now I am making more mistakes everywhere. Turn on the screen locks and keep it in a holder or something. I am upset at RIM for dropping this and now joining the masses. No feedback.
To be fair, any other phone on the market I would have this problem now though.

-Familiar yet improved OS feel. Look at BB5 and BB7 together and BB5 icons look like 1st grade line art drawings. I am now looking at colorful and detailed icons for everything

-Homescreen had a 1, 2, 3 row or "Today" layout option in BB5 and that is gone as a selectable choice in 7 . Now its a bar at the top that is hidden until you tap it to expose all of todays info. A little inconvenient for me
-Only 1 Theme available for 7 in "crapworld"

-my awesome push email and messaging is BACK!!!! This is what I need the most!!!! Other platforms can't compare.

-nice of RIM to give away free apps for their outage screw up earlier. Two free ones are in "crapworld" right now
-I am good with this phone
