Congrats on your return to masochism-land. I was wrong about the form-factor. RIM is not using Fisher-Price plastic on that tough as nails under 4" screen. Its either Hasbro or Mattel.
Hey, Nuance voice recognition was also featured on Alexander Graham Bell's handset so delight in that cutting-edge technology. The camera has been improved. Lag time does not allow you to buy the morning papers while you wait for that click.
Your gonna love the "bleeding fields" whereby each screen shows partial words from the previous screen. "ities" (favorite's) and "nloads" (downloads). Its like a Wheel of Fortune game.
RIM has done some well-timed precious things such as when they came out with the Storm2....2days after the 5.0 update, after making the original victims of the 9530 wait 5 months. Really engratiated themselves to the original Storm users.
Seriously, pity me for still "suffering" with my all metal & Glass Drip2. The glitch-a-day medicine that works...sometimes...maybe...Your going to miss the themes (only reason I haven't jumped ship)....well one of 5 reasons... No OS7 theme building kits on the "Flicker", er I mean the Torch, from RIM brilliance in technology.
One concession: This OS7 will not come crashing down with the same thud as OS6. QNX will be promised like native email on the playbook.... 60 days." Its only been 5 months. By the time they do release it and the 3 app support in their CrapWorld store, everyone will be using headband phones.
There was a post on Crackberry for the Playbook suggesting they put it on the Moon.
Put it on the Moon?
They can't even put it on display in Staples!
I actually kind of miss that camera feature you were talking about...the one that allowed whatever you were taking a picture of to magically disappear by the time the picture was taken
I turned the "bleeding fields" feature off for the moment. I was getting dizzy trying to figure out where I was at in the grand scheme of things. You can swipe right, left up, down. It's like playing a machine in Vegas. You never know what you are going to get
Even after more than a week, my App World purchases were still there and I did a restore from my backup software that was of the same age. I think RIM knew I would be back. My existence wasn't wiped from the earth like I thought it would be.
Oddly enough some things I purchased or downloaded for the Storm 2 are working better on BB7. PBA Bowling 2 stopped working correctly in a later OS build on the Storm. Now it works perfectly
This thing can be customized even more than the two Storms combined. You could do very little with Apple in that regard. Endless hours of tweaking are ahead for me
The last question or statement I told "Siri" on the iPhone was that I was leaving her for a Blackberry. After three responses saying she didn't understand, she said she will "remember that" whatever that means
Glad to be a crack berry addict
