well I did the comparison between this and the Infuse.... Although more powerful, the Galaxy S II has only a 3 hour battery life on talk compared to the 8 of the infuse? I mean I know that is talk time but imagine running other apps and what not on this... it would kill the battery even quicker....Any thoughts on this or concerns that the battery life ( as quoted on here ) make this the biggest reason to stay away from this phone?

Actually, Very important, since the LG Thrill is only 6.5 hrs. talk or use time. 3.5 would really be B a d d d ... Surely this is incorrect. 😲

I have an import sgs2, battery life is whats to be expected on a high end dual core cpu with a large bright screen. Take my advice, get a car charger and carry any extra usb cable to charge off a computer.

But, I think its a little better then what I thought the battery endurance would be.

Of course a single core Infuse is better, however the GSII is better than Moto Atrix & LG Thrill. Of course u want an Advanced task manager, dim screen to about half & turn off background data & auto sync. Also wi-fi & bluetooth, when not n use. 😎

Don't ever use advanced task manager on this phone. Every phone expert I have ever known has talked about how the changes to the Android OS has made task managers not only a m00t point, but detrimental to your battery life.

Properly coded apps don't take any battery life when they aren't in the foreground and you don't have the settings to update every few minutes. However if you kill a ton of tasks all the time, and any of them are required, they will take battery life to re-initialize themselves.

Today was my first day with my Samsung Galaxy S2. I started at 6:00 a.m. connected to wifi, and downloaded like 36 podcasts. Then I listened to an hour's worth before work, and then 2 hour's worth at work while playing with it as I could. Th...

Am interested n this phone, so the 3hr talk time really bothered me. On Samsung's webpage & a couple other reviews, show up to 8hrs. talk time, which is more realistic considering batt capacity & Samsung Galaxy phones, that usually have a very desent batt use ability. 😳
