Treo 6xx and GPS?

I am thinking about consolidating my cell phone and PDA into one unit, and the Treo might be the answer. I'd also like to utilize it as a GPS for driving/walking navigation.

Along the lines of GPS usage, Pretec is the only SDIO unit I can find for PalmOS. One important area for mapping is memory. Does the Treo have only one SD slot? If so, an extra memory card would need to be removed, and the Pretec (or whoever else I end up with) would go in the memory card's place. Now, I have GPS, but no extra memory.

Memory is needed for storing maps, redrawing maps, and many other functions. How does a GPS user, then, successfully use the Treo as a GPS device with potentially limited memory with a GPS in the expansion device?
