Care to explain this at all? As in, the RAZR being a gimmick how exactly? Because it's thin? Last time I checked, form factor of a phone is only a gimmick if it's a slide-out speaker (surround) or a dual screened phone (Kyocera Echo).
I've had both of these in my hand and have spent hours with each one. I opted for the Razr because HTC Sense makes the 1.5 gHz dual core feel slower than the Razr's 1.2 gHz dual core. The Razr feels smoother. Size and weight wise, it's not a comparison.
Don't call it a "gimmick" because it hands your phone it's ass in a particular area. Besides, if anything is a gimmick in a phone it's Beats Audio.
