Start up sound

Is there any way to disable to start up "Droid" sound on the phone? I knew there was on the original Droid but can't seem to find it on the new one.

Also, I know there was a update pushed on the original that removed the ability to have "vibrate only" as a feature between totally silent and having the ringer sound be on. Is there any way to reinstate that or is that gone forever? I dealt with it not being there on the old one but wish I still had that ability.

Thanks!

i can't speak to the droid sound, although mine hasn't rebooted in a few days. 😈

My solution to the no vibrate mode (it exists, there's just no easy way to access it; the D3 is no different) is to get Beautiful Widgets. Included in that set is the toggle widget, and one of the choices there is "vibrate" mode. There's also a silent toggle, so you can easily toggle silent or vibrate. To me, it's worth the purchase price right there. You also get (and this is the main feature) a sense like clock widget if you like.
