Thanks very much for taking the time to help. After switching to CDMA, I also turned off Google location which I didn't realize worked much like GPS. After that, I made sure auto synch was switched off. Now, my battery is staying at 100% for 12+ hours in standby. This is great! Today I had 3 short calls and my battery still stayed on 100% for almost 12 hours. I'm not sure which one of the changes made the difference, but I'm happy now and glad I didn't sell it in my frustration.
