Motorola Droid 3

I am getting an android after 3 years of my old phone. I got a Samsung Gem but after the first day, I couldn't receive a text and it kept freezing had to turn it on but wouldn't stay on. We took it back and they said it was defective and would replace but I decided to upgrade. This is an entry level phone I was told by Verizon. The only thing that really worries me is it had excellent call quality, no dropped calls and I could use in the house since I am sick right now. I looked at everything they had but they are all so large. I wanted another Samsung but don't like the styles. The Motorola Droid Global was just the size and has a pull out keyboard. I had trouble with the heat sensitive small keys. On July 14 the Motorola Droid 3 will be in the store so I have time to wait. I am really concerned about the call quality. I would get another Samsung Gem if I thought the call quality is bad on either of these Motorolas. The camera is not great on the Gem but I have a digital camera. I am really worried since I will be stuck with the phone for 20 months. ANY help would be appreciated. Is this Droid 3 worth waiting for? I don't do much as far as aps. I used my laptop but I do like to send pictures to Facebook and I NEED GOOD CALL QUALIITY. HELP! I have not had any Motorola products in years, had Motorola phone 3 years ago but things have changed.
