u cant disable htc sense on a phone the reason htc motorola samsung all make skins is to diffrenciate themselves from one another now sense is nice but not everyone likes it u can replace the launcher with one from the market true.. but i think the reason he wants to remove it is becuase sense is a very big file hell the reason the evo will never see the newer version of sense is because it would bog down the phone if your trying to remove sense in order to speed up your phone the only real way is to root your phone and flash a rom make sure you do your reasearch tho not all androids are the same sum can be alot harder all depends on the bootloader itself weather its locked or not you could brick your phone if your not careful if your going to venture into rooting and flashing your phone and your new to it i highly recommend doing your reasearch 1st head over to cynogenmod xda or site like androidcentral they have experinced users that have gone through this already and are very friendly hell they helped me root my droid x running the apex revolution rom with spb shell home launcher and adw ex as a back up and its slightly overclocked at 1.2ghz its a beast =) its amazingly quick but i cant stress this enough rooting isnt for every1 it voids warrenty and i gaureentee if you call tech support they wont know how to fix it... unless you get sum1 like me on the line i work for sprint but your average tech agent has no clue as to how rooting works also the safest way to root is to have a leaked version of the sbf file for your phone its a way to revert your phone back to stock via computer like programming it thats my 2 cents
