OEM Holster?

Hey all. Got a quick question about the OEM holster. Does anyone know how well the OEM holster holds the phone? I remember when I worked at a Verizon Wireless store, we got some aftermarket holsters in for the Slider and the phone fell right out of it. I'm looking at getting the OEM holster, but I obviously don't want the phone falling out of it, defeating the purpose of a holster. Could someone please post some feedback on the OEM holster and how well/poor it holds the phone? Is it worth getting? Thanks!

I had heard negative things about the holster as well. I recently went to Kyocera's website, and purchased the Nylon Case that they offer through their Accessory Store.

It provides a nice, snug fit to the phone, and is seemingly the best way to carry this phone, as it provides both a secure means of clipping it to your belt, as well as protection for the screen (which for me was an issue, since the LCD is constantly exposed).

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen the nylon case on Kyocera's site, but I will definitely take a look at it. I was looking for a holster that I could clip to my visor in my car so I could use the speakerphone while driving. I was hoping the OEM holster would do this, but I will look at the nylon case.

Another quick question regarding the holster. Can you operate the phone (use the slider) while the phone is in the holster?

Thanks.

I don't believe so, since there is a clip on the top of the phone to prevent it from falling out.

Well, that sucks! I was hoping that I could clip the holster to my visor in my car while driving & use the speakerphone. I had asked a seller on eBay about this issue as well & he said the same thing. Guess I'll have to find another way to do this. Thanks for your help!

The OEM Holster will allow you to clip it to the sun visor. However the speaker is on the back of the phone so unless you lower you sunvisor and clip the phone on w/ the display facing the roof of your car you won't have too much luck

Well, I'm obviously not going to do that. I just don't understand why the Kyocera Wireless Accessory store advertises the holster and says that it "hangs from your belt, purse strap or vehicle's sun visor." Why would they suggest you hang your phone from your sun visor if you can't use it while it's there? Taking the phone out of the holster while it's clipped to the sun visor to use it defeats the purpose of hanging it there in the first place. I could just leave it in my cup holder where it is now. Makes no sense to me.
