Kyocera SE47 / SE44 / V5 (Slider)

Ok, so this morning I woke up to find that my beloved slider was not working. It started with the keys lit up but no screen, so I tried to turn it off but it wouldn't go. I took the battery out and tried again but nothing. It looks as dead as Barbie's cell phone. I'm wondering if it's the battery since it doesn't keep a charge for more than an hour.. but before I buy a new battery for this piece I was wondering if this has happend to anyone else.
