VZW SE47 Slider Recalled
The Kyocera SE47 Slider phone was recalled today by VZW and ripped off diplays at VZW stores. I heard there is a problem with the battery.

Even if the phone wasnt bought at a VZW store, will my Kyocera SE47 still be defective?

Do you happen to know the specifics of the recall? What is the specific problem with the battery? I bought my Slider on August 2nd of this year & so far have not had any kind of problem with it. Do you have any additional info or a link to where I can read additional info on the recall? Thanks!

The Kyocera SE47 slider handset was recalled due to potential problems w/ the battery. The handset itself isn't deffective, rather the battery w/ the code of CV90-L349T-01. VZW will be notifying customers of the potential problems

odd... I have that battery, and have had my phone for like 6 months and not had any problems (including replacing the housing with clear, etc.). I just called Kyocera and they said that this is NOT the defective battery date code. The Verizon store near me gave me this phone number to call: 866-559-3882 - there was almost no wait and they told me within seconds that my battery was safe.

Can we uprgrade our slider if we have it and broke it? My scvreen cracked and i woudl liek to know would they let me upgrade my phone instead of getting it repaired?
