Heres the answer ,cause I too read a post reguarding the magnets and the effects.1st you must totally dismantel the phone star screwdriver phillips tweezers.thumbtac.the 2 magnets are accross from each other on the front face plate insert the thumbtac and push them out,2 sided tape is what holds them in place. The effects are that you can now use the speaker phone while it is closed.howevr you must turn the phone off by pressing end..however tyhe phone is real cool closed and people really think its neat that Im speaking on such a small compact device.Any othe questions just ask

if you take out magnets and like people said you have to press end to stop the call, when you put the phone in your pocket is phone able to dial numbers just by itself by pressing send key (just like it happens with all other "open face" phones) or you still have to slide the phone to make the call? if phone can just dial by it self for me that would be big problem.

ive already taken out the magnets and no my phone doesnt dial by itself. If you put a screen saver on you have to hit the send key twice to get the voice dial, and three times to dial the last peerson called.my question is what would the difference be if I put back 1 of the magnets, and if there were a difference, would there be one depending which magnet I put back.ie-right magnet,,,or ie- left magnet..anyone who is comfortale dismantelling the phone plz try it out and let us know.I took it apart once and dont want to try my luck again if at all p[ossible.. 😕

There is actually only one magnet. The second bar is only metal. I only took out the thinner of the two bars and it has the same effect as taking both out. If you place metal to both of the pieces you removed, you should see that only one is magnetized.

Sorry, but mine are actually 2 different sizes. I'm pretty sure that's how all of them are. The larger of the 2 (the metal bar) is still in my phone but it wouldn't fit in the depression the thinner one came out of. Next time I have it apart I'll take a closer look at it but I'm pretty sure that's how it is.
