help with getting this phone

I currently have a 2 year contract with Verizon that started last April. I have the LG VX4400 and have had nothing but problems with it. I want to get the slider phone, but I am not able to get this phone without paying full retail which is $349.99. Any suggestions on how to get this phone before my 2 year contract is up without paying full retail?? I would appreciate any help here.

pretty much you are out of luck. you can trade in your 4400 and get $50 cred and also call up verizon and see if you can get any more credit applied.

Your LG is still under its one year warranty. All you have to do is complain about your phone such as call quality, drop calls, the phone shutting off randomly, basically stuff they can't really prove its doing or its not doing and then they will offer to replace your phone with the same model (because its under warranty) well here is where your in luck. They don't make that model phone anymore. they make the LG 4400B which is a different color. Well you don't like that color. And you explain to a manger that the Slider is a less expensive phone and do to all the problems your having with the 4400 you would rather have that phone. Something along those lines should work. Let me know if this helps.

Good Idea on that pedrickse, if it does not work, just check ebay, they always sell them.

When you buy off ebay, if the phone is the same model, than the mode, CDMA is the same, if it is questionable, inquire the seller. He/She will tell you. But def try the complaint thing first.

I had a similiar problem with the Samsung A-530 but i went to an authorized verizon retailer...i did an insurance claim said i lost it they sent me a new one i gave that to the retailer along with the old one that i "lost" and he gave me VX6000 and it cost me just the $ for the claim...i'm thinking about pulling the same thing for the Slider but i think i'm done with dual mode phones...i just wanted to share my story too...maybe theres a cool retailer by you that would do the same thing for you.

Hmmmmmmmm and when the retailer checks the list and finds that the serial number of your "lost phone" matches those listed as lost - you could be charged with Insurance Fraud . . . . we don't always do it, but we have . . . . hope it was worth it!
