A worker at a verizon store in Michigan told me that a Kyocera rep was in to visit them to talk about the slider. Verizon is going to test the Slider. A release date is unknown.

For now, Kyocera SE47 Slider V5 in silver is exclusive to Virgin Mobile, and for another provider they have it in blue. I don't think it's planned for any other service providers anytime soon, considering the phone comes out November 2nd and no news about Verizon, or any other providers have been anounced to be supporting this phone.

I am a US Cellular Sales Manager, and the SE 17 Slider is the model that we are getting. It is the Blue version, and the Difference between the SE 47 and the SE 17 is that the SE 17 has an AMPS 800 band. I am looking forward to getting the phone. It is going to be a little on the higher end as far as price. My cost on the phone is $255.00, which means promotional pricing should be around $80 to $120.

That is a big negative. The SE47 is the same model for all carriers. The SE44 will add AMPS.
