Ultra vs. Standard?

by PhoneScooper11    Sep 21, 2011, 10:46 AM

After some brief research I'm looking forward to the arrival of the new Transform Ultra, though similar to the standard Transform in many ways it appears that Samsung has worked out a good number of the kinks that were present in the first generation Transform.

For instance the Transform Ultra is sporting the new 2.3 Gingerbread OS while the original Transform is only shipped with the 2.2 FroYo, this teamed with the step from a standard 800MHZ samsung processor up to a 1GHZ snapdragon should help eliminate alot of the lag and slow loading that alot of people seemed unpleased with in the first generation. Also im sure that the Transform Ultra will take the step into the 4G era, so theres another plus for those of you fortunate enough to live or frequently travel into a 4G converage area.
Though there are a few more slight upgrades such as the battery life, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. But there appear to be a few instances in which functionality replaced some of the "luxeries" of the first generation Transform, such as the downgrade from a 3.2MP camera to a 3.0MP camera.
Though there are obvious ups and downs to the new Transform Ultra I think that beating the overall customer rating of 2.5 stars for the first generation Transform will be a relatively easy upset in the long run...
Transform Ultra...I welcome you with open arms.
