I work for Sprint (but not in sales or in a store), and I'm evaluating the unit. I don't know about availability in the stores.
I've had it for a full 24 hours now, and I'll say this: don't listen to the haters on Bing Maps. It's no Google Maps, but it's slick and it works well for my needs. Anything tightly integrated into the Exchange server is a thing of beauty for mobile employees like me.
The interface with the Pin To Start is very similar to Android, as well, and if anything, I like having everything stacked vertically even a little better than the multi-screen approach of HTC and Samsung.
The Marketplace is a mess, tho, and I haven't found a lot to love in there yet.
