It is interesting to read the first two reviews here for this phone, they seem contradictory to me in terms of the battery.

Yes. They were contradictory but only because the reviewers were comparing the X2 against two different phones.

The first reviewer thought the X2 battery life was great because he came from a ThunderBolt, which is known for bad battery life. He thought the X2 battery life was great in comparison.

The second reviewer came from a Droid-X and he is accustomed to good battery life. He thought the X2 battery life was short in comparison. Since the Droid-X and X2 have the same battery, I suspect the X2 battery life is shorter because of the greater processing power.

We are probably going to have to wait for more reviews from former Droid-X owners to truly gauge the X2 battery life.

I went from the X to the X2. I find the battery to last longer. I know they have the same battery, but from what I understand, due to the better screen, the screen itself uses less battery power. Maybe it's the placebo effect, but I do feel like I get better battery longevity now than I did with the X.
