It is, but it's not going to be spectacular. Hope on down to radio shack (Or similar) pick up a male 2.5mm to 1/8inch to female adapter. Then you can plug in any 1/8 of an inch plug i.e. headphones, computer style speakers, or a 1/8th to 1/8th cable directly to your stereo. I've even plugged it into an 1/8th inch jack built into my car stereo. The problem is that the output of your phone is set, so the external speakers need to be self-powered to amplify the sound. But the output of the phone jack isn't all that powerful, so your amping a weak signal, and it's not the best sound in the world. I hope this was helpful to you.
