Are you serious? You obviously have not used the MPx200. It is like saying that my 2-seater sports car is better than my pick-up. They serve different purposes. The v600 does not have the Smartphone software...and if that appeals to your needs, you cannot even compare them. The v600 has the camera, for some, that is important...others, a waste.

Personal preference and how it is going to be used drive the comparisson.

Well I guess you are right! But when it all boils down to it how often are we going to use the smart phone software or the camera thats on the v600? You will eventually get bored of the features and use the phone for what it is suppose to be used for, making calls. When I compare phones or purchase them I see who has better quality, battery power, signal strength, and to be honest the v600 from what I have read dominates these features compared to the MPx200. If I need to take a pitcher I will use my digital camera, also if I wont to use my email I use my computer at home or at work. Cmon who likes to check work emails after a hard day of work!!

While its true that you can't really compare the two phones because they offer very different features, I think the v600 will be a sort of next step up from this one. Coming from the Nokia 3650 which was very user friendly and had many great features this phone has some functions that are just annoying.
The battery life is awful, text messaging is a little tedious b\c t9 is not that great and every time a message is sent the phone sends a sent message. The v600 may not have the smartphone software but I think the novelty of it really will wear off eventually.

it has been pulled by ny & nj attws store managers already because of the lack of a 850 frequency. πŸ‘Ώ at a meeting last week they felt customers in these areas will not get the coverage they need

Well I agree about the comparison between a sportscar and a pick-up truck. The only thing the v600 has over the v300 & v400 is the bluetooth, which, if that's important to you...more power to you, I just dont think the glowing light on the outside justifies the price.

Maybe I would feel different if there was expandable memory. What good is downloading video clips/mp3s if all you have is a lousy shared 5mb of internal memory? Like it or not, that along with pocket internet browser is what would convince me to get mpx200. I know its buggy as hell, but its a helluva lot cheaper than v600. (This coming from someone one who has 256mbMMC card for both Nokia 3650 & 3300, trust me expanded memory is a PLUS!!!!)

CAMPBET - I like your approach! I am just like you. Camera? Email? MP3 (to a lesser degree) - phones, as far as I know, are phones. You contact people and allow them to contact you - cameras, computers, etc all have a place in this world - no need for me anyway, to CRAM all those functions into a phone. As long as it has the ability to make and receive calls! Call me old fashioned!
