It's a nice phone. It's a little smaller and sturdier than the vx6000 but basically the same phone minus the camera and a few little extra's most wont notice. One bad thing about this phone is it can't support the new Instant Messaging software available on the vx6000 and vx4500. So if you want to use the AIM,MSN or Yahoo messenger software you can't do it on this phone, even though CS said you could. I spoke with Tech today and they said it won't work yet and they're not sure if it ever will be adapted for this model. If you have a vx4500 or 6000 it's not really worth changing in my opinion. I think I'll wait til the vx 7000 or 8000 comes our way. Hopefully later this year.

I would like to congratulate all of you that have found a contact at vzw that would help you obtain this phone. I have tried for weeks with no success. I have spoke to 3 people today, Joe, Michelle and Alexis and all have said it is for new customers only!!!

All of you must have much stronger negotiating skills then I !

Good luck with you phones.

I feel your pain. But I get my 4600 on Tuesday. I found my contact by dumb luck and no negotiating was required on my part. I had sent emails and talked to service reps for over a week and kept running into walls. I called again yesterday, and the rep put me in touch with internet sales, who put me in touch with phone sales. I was expecting another "sorry can't help you". The phone sales rep asked me what phone I was wanting to upgrade to, I told her, and she said no problem. Wha????? I don't have to give a sob story about my grandma dying of cancer and her last hours would be more bearable if I had this phone? Just like that, it was ordered and on it's way.

I suggest trying to get a number for phone sales and pushing that route....
