You probably already have your answer now but I'd say NO.
In the Phoenix area there is hardly any 4G coverage except at T-Mobile stores and even there 3G is still faster! The dual band feature of the Galaxy S 4G might be helpful though depending on your area.
None of the phones have a battery that will last more than one day though.
